Aunt Linda,

Our deepest sympathies go out to you. Uncle Butch was a kind man and we were all blessed to have spent time around him. You and Butch have always been so warm and welcoming to our family. We want you to know if you need anything at all that we are only a phone call and a short drive away.

The loss of our Uncle Butch is certainly a big loss for each of us. I feel so fortunate to have him, Aunt Linda along with our Aunt Wanda here for Ambria’s wedding in July to share this special time with us. I didn’t know how much he loved us until I got older & how much his family meant to him. We love you Uncle Butch, you’re one of a kind!

Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. God has a reason for allowing things to happen. We may never understand his wisdom but we simply have to trust his will. Linda I'm sorry for your loss. I love you guys. I'm here if you need anything.

My god why do all of the good ones have to go so soon? Butch and I worked together in Madera at Savemart for years, when he retired there was a huge void in that department. Butch and Linds are the cream of the crop, and my heart breaks for Linda and family. He is now with his loving daughter. I will miss our talks Butch, miss that special license plate “Half Breed”, and miss you pal!

My Dearest Auntie Linda,

Words of solace provide no comfort to a heart undone. You have suffered the loss of your best friend, love in life, and eternal soulmate.

Butch was a kind and gentle man who transcended all that is good.. The heavens cried while the world skipped a turn the moment he passed. Our family will forever mourn the passing of this kind, loving, gentle man that was Butch.

Butch's extended family and devoted friends hearts cry with you and for you. Butch was a source of great strength and love to each of them. Together with him, they were dedicated to that certain principle, which he embodied: Love.

No matter what talent an individual possesses, no matter what energy he might have, no matter what -- how much integrity and honesty he might have, if he is by himself, he can accomplish very little. But if he is sustained, as Butch was, by the same things that he dedicated himself, family, friends, and community, you can accomplish a great deal. In that sense Butvh was an accomplished man.

In these efforts, each of us were there -- all of us. And when there were difficulties, he sustained us. When there were periods of crisis, he stood beside us. When there were periods of happiness, he laughed with us. When there [were] periods of sorrow, he comforted each of us. And he is still with us, sustaining us with love eternal.

Whenever a loved one passes, I reflect on a passage from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet; "When I shall die take me and cut me into the stars and I shall make the face of heaven so fine that all shall love the night and pay no worship to the garish sun." The heavens shine brighter with Butch among it's brightest of stars.

Words of solace provide no comfort to a heart undone. Yet, take comfort in knowing that you and Butch remain forever and always, eternally, in the hearts of those he loved and in return loved him.

Your Beloved Nephew,

Todd Smith

My Dearest Auntie Linda,

Butch was a kind and gentle man who transcended all that is good.!

The heavens cried while the world skipped a turn the moment he passed. Our family will forever mourn the passing of this kind, loving, gentle man that was Butch.

You were his beloved wife and life love. I know that your heart is undone because mine is too.

Butch's extended family and devoted friends hearts cry with you and for you.

Butch was a source of great strength and love to each of them. Together with him, they were dedicated to that certain principle, which he embodied: Love.

The heavens shine brighter with Butch among it's brightest of stars.

You were Butch's love, life, and inspiration. To that end, he passed with no regrets for he possessed all the love a man could want.

Butch is reunited eternally with Claudia, family and friends who preceded him.

If Butch had any regret, it would be having to leave you. His parting words were always the same, "Hon, WE gotta go."

Butch possessed a quality that few have: Character. It is a quality that is non-negotiable and not for sale.

I will miss his presence, his being, and his uncompromising love.

Butch was more than my Uncle, he was my friend. I will love him, mourn him, and think of him now, always, and forever.

I want you to know that whatever you need, whenever you need it, I am but a thought and whisper away. I love you from the depth of my heart and soul.

Words of solace provide no comfort to a heart undone. Yet, take comfort in knowing you and Butch remain forevrr and
Your Beloved Nephew,

Todd
