Because of our unique role in shepherding families through the process of grief, we know that we are more than just a business; we are a key part of the local community, and that’s a role we take seriously. We are honored to serve our neighbors during seasons of mourning and loss, and to provide comfort through uncertain times.
Since this community has been so supportive of us over the years, we believe strongly in giving back, remaining visible, and doing our part to promote the community’s wellbeing. We encourage our employees to volunteer their time in ways that serve their neighbors, and we delight in working closely with local caregivers, veterans, first responders, clergy, hospices, and charities. In short, we empower our employees to make a positive difference in the local community.
Giving back is part of what we do, and community involvement is intrinsic to our business model. We are grateful for every opportunity we have to serve our neighbors in this unique and special place.

Tis’ The Season
Tree of Remembrance Service
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 2, 2017
Dear Family Members,
Greetings! The Christmas season is upon us and for those who have lost a loved one it is not always an easy time of the year. The Staff at Jay Chapel knows the feelings of loss and sadness the holiday season can bring to those who have lost a loved one. We want to make sure that you and your family are able to celebrate the life and memories of your loved ones who have passed on.
We invite you to our “Tree of Remembrance Service” which will take place on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 2:00 PM. This service is designed for families to remember their loved ones in a special way. We will have a variety of ornaments available to choose from the day of our service. You will be able to select an ornament and write your loved ones name on it before placing it upon our Tree of Remembrance.
After the service, those who would like to take their ornament home may do so or they may be left upon our Christmas tree here at Jay Chapel. The ornaments are made of seed paper, which you are invited to take home to plant and watch the flowers grow in your own garden or flower bed.
This service is a special afternoon and we hope that you will be able to attend. To insure we have ornaments for everyone, please RSVP by calling us at Jay Chapel 559-674-8814 so we can reserve an ornament for your family to place on our Tree of Remembrance. If you have a conflict and are not able to attend, please contact us and let us know so we can place an ornament with your loved ones name on our tree in your honor.
We hope to see you and your family on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Jay Chapel Funeral Home, 1121 Roberts Avenue, Madera, CA. There will be a short service in our Chapel with light refreshments following. If able, please bring a new, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots in memory of your loved one for a child in need.
