Rosie Lares

Rosie Lopez Lares, a lifelong resident of Madera, California passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at Madera Community Hospital following a sudden and brief illness. Rosie was born to Joe Lopez and Elisa Caballero Lopez. She attended local schools and later married Phillip P. Lares Jr. and would have celebrated their 59th anniversary this December. Rosie was a homemaker and was a member of St. Joachim Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Jennie Lares.

Rosie is survived by her beloved husband Phillip of Madera and is the mother of Alice Conley and her husband Johnny of Fresno, CA, and Diane Martinez and her husband Daniel of Hanford, CA. She is the sister of Joe Lopez of Madera, Raymond Lopez of Madera, Ruben Lopez of Stockton, CA, Mike Yturaldi of Madera, Mary Castro of Fresno, Beatrice Muñoz of Madera, Josie Fimbrez of Merced, Lucy Torres of Madera, Jennie Rivera of Stockton, CA, and Maggie Rubalcaba of Lathrop, CA. Rosie is the cherished grandmother of 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Jay Chapel, followed by the Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Madera with interment following at Calvary Cemetery.
