Mr Rodolfo "Rudy" Cordova Sr.

Rodolfo Cordova Sr., born and raised in Sahuaripa, Sonora, Mexico. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend passed away on July 11, 2020 at the age of 91 in the comfort of his home in Firebaugh, California.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Graciela Cordova-Sanchez and is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ernestina Cordova and their Children: Genaro Cordova (Christina Alvarez), Rodolfo Cordova, Jr., Javier Cordova (Alicia Melendez), Sergio Cordova (Maria Elena) and (Gerardo Sanchez).

Grandchildren: Jessica Cordova, Erica Cordova, Jasmine Cordova, Brandon Sanchez, Cesar Sanchez, Jaime Navarro, Javier Cordova Jr., Jeanette Zarate, Adriana Cordova, Natalia Cordova, Gabrielle Cordova, and Alyssa Cordova.

Great Grandchildren: Joanna Chavez, Isabella and Ivan Sanchez, Julianna and Aubriella Navarro, and Gianna and Gabriel Zarate.

Rodolfo came to the United States to join family in 1947, initially to the Coachella Valley, then in 1950, to Patterson in the San Joaquin Valley. He worked for Zacharias Ranch in Patterson for 25 years. In 1975, he joined Warren Hicks Ranch with whom he worked for the rest of his career ending in Firebaugh. In his retirement he also enjoyed seasonal employment at TomaTek. He toiled hard in the soil which he lived out to his last days in his beloved garden. He was the rock of the family, proud of his children and grandchildren for whom he prayed daily. Rest in Peace Tata. “Mi orgullo es el saber de mis hijos”
