Meri Elizabeth Batty

Meri Elizabeth Batty, age 47, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Meri was born on December 20, 1971 in Fresno, CA to Sidney (Sid) and Carole Huntley. Meri attended and graduated from Madera High School and worked for over 20 years for Madera Superior Court.

Meri found great joy and passion in her family and friends, Pismo Beach, camping, concerts, and traveling. She made the most out of every day and lived life to the fullest.

Meri and her husband Darin’s relationship began 30 years ago when Meri was a bank teller and Darin was an ‘unsuspecting’ customer trying to woo her. Through his pursuit, she finally gave in and she always called it the best decision of her life. Her proudest accomplishments were her children, Luke and McKayla.

The family would like to extend a special heartfelt thank you to the Doctors, Nurses, CNAs, and staff at Community Regional Medical Center. You treated our mom with constant compassion and kindness and she loved you all.

Meri is preceded in death by her parents, Carole and Sidney Huntley and Les Puccini.

Meri is survived by her husband Darin, her son Luke, her daughter McKayla (May), her brother Will Huntley and his wife Donnelle of Perth, Australia, her brother Robert Huntley (Robby) and his husband Scotti of Napa, her sister Peggy Huntley of Spokane, Washington, and her sister Kathy Hansen and her husband Bud of Spokane, Washington, and numerous nephews and nieces. She also leaves behind many family and friends who she loved dearly.

As Meri taught us all, be kind to one another and perform random acts of kindness every day.
