Mrs Margaret Ayala Flores

Margaret Ayala Flores, was born in Madera, California on October 5, 1923. She passed from this life on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 in Fresno, California. She was 96 years old. Margaret attended Madera Schools and later married John Flores in 1942 and had 4 children; John Jr., Leonard, Robert and Carolyn. Margaret worked for Oberti Olives for 30 years before retiring, and was a member of St. Joachim Catholic Church.

Margaret was a wonderful homemaker and caretaker. She was a kind and loving Mother, and Grandmother. She loved to cook for her family and would not hesitate to fix you a delicious meal when family dropped by unexpectedly.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Maria Ayala, her husband John C. Flores Sr. her sons John Flores, Jr. and Leonard Flores, Sr. by her siblings, Manuel Ayala, Frank Ayala, Ignacio Ayala, Geronima Gallegos, Jessie Lopez, Mary Esqueda, and Rosie Rodriguez and by a granddaughter Latrina Gonzalez Horton.

Margaret leaves behind her children, Robert Flores and his wife Annie and Carolyn Rios and her husband Les, her daughters-in-law Lena Flores and Maxine Flores and by 14 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren, her sisters-in-law Carmen Flores, Isabel Breiten, Madeline Flores and Aurora Flores as well as many nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 2 to 7 PM at Jay Chapel with Recitation of the Rosary at 7 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 1 PM at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Madera with interment following at Calvary Cemetery.

Remembrances in Margaret’s name may be made to St. Joachim Catholic Church.
