Leo Louis Apodaca

Leo Louis Apodaca, age 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 24, 2019 in Santa Clara, California. Leo was born on October 26, 1934 in Las Cruces, New Mexico to Louis and Nellie Apodaca. Leo was raised in Fresno and has been a resident of San Jose for over 50 years. Leo served four years in the United States Air Force, after which he began his civilian job as a welder for over 40 years. Leo loved tinkering around with different things and welding things together to create unique pieces. He was an avid gardener and was always looking for new things to weld together for his garden area.

Leo was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Nellie Apodaca, his wife of 48 years Natie Apodaca, his son Vincent Apodaca, and his two brothers Freddie Apodaca and Andy Apodaca.

Leo is survived by his two sons Leo Apodaca Jr. and Steve Apodaca, his daughter Sylvia Apodaca-Garcia and her husband Raymond Garcia, and three grandchildren Ariana Garcia, Aaron Garcia, and Gabriel Garcia all of San Jose. Leo also leaves behind his brother Daniel Apodaca of Fresno and his two sisters Connie and her husband Jesse Antunez of Fresno and Martha and her husband Doug Black of Clovis.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 2, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Jay Chapel in Madera. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 2, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Jay Chapel in Madera. Interment immediately following at Calvary Cemetery in Madera.
