Tribute

We are here to celebrate the life of Kassandra Solis and to say our goodbyes to our loved one.
Kassandra Solis was born July 15, 1997 in Madera, California. The daughter of Juan and Clementina Solis, and sister to Vanessa Martinez.

As a young child Kassandra was clumsy, getting hurt, and even taking things apart, but could never put them back together. She never liked staying the night anywhere, because she couldn’t be without her parents. She was afraid of the ocean when she was younger, because she saw the movie jaws. Kassandra’s sister Vanessa would make her solve math problems just so she could sleep with Vanessa. Her tia Danielle would impersonate her dads voice just to tease her, and she would run to look for her papi yelling “papi papi”. As Kassy grew she loved to do sports softball, basketball, and football. She was competitive and did not like to lose. Kassandra enjoyed her family and friends, who she treated as if they were part of the family.

As a teenager Kassandra was ambitious, and did what she had to do to succeed. Even though at home found reasons on why she could not do her chores, it was either because she was sick or she was hurting. After high school she followed her dreams and went to college in Oklahoma. There were a time she had gotten drunk and told everyone she was in “hulklahoma” meaning to say Oklahoma.

Now as a young adult she was blessed with a 1 nephew and 3 nieces, who had gotten the chance to meet a bright, caring, forgiving, and loving aunt who was loved by so many. She had everything going for a job she loved and so much she had accomplished.

Now that you are no longer here not only did you parents lose a daughter, the family lost a granddaughter, niece, cousin, and aunt, too some. We thank you though, for all the love and memories you have given us. Now the lord has gained a beautiful angel, and we will be forever grateful for the time you were with us.

In closing I would like to read this poem:
We thought of you in love today,
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday,
And days before that, too.
We think of you in silence,
We often speak your name.
Now all we have is memories,
And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake,
With which will never part.
God has you in his keeping,
And we have you in our hearts.
We love you kassy
