Ms Juanita Contreras Barajas

After a long-term battle with cancer, Juanita Guadalupe Contreras Barajas age 55, passed away on May 24, 2020 at home under the care of Hinds Hospice and her family.
 
Juanita was born on July 10, 1964 in Madera, California to Johnny M. Contreras & Rosie R. Contreras. 
 
Juanita Graduated from Madera High School in 1982 where she was active in soccer. After graduation, she continued her education to Fresno City College where she earned her Associate of Arts (AA) Degree.  She was first employed by the Department of Agriculture and then went on to work for Capri Sun in Fresno California.
 
Juanita was a truly a loving and giving individual with a kind heart. She was an avid reader, loved drawing, history, horses and candied apples.  Her favorite sports teams were the San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Dodgers. She loved and collected anything to do with the character Mickey Mouse.  She was a member of the Saint Joachim Catholic Church.  
 
Juanita is preceded in death and will be met in heaven by her father Johnny M. Contreras. She is survived by her mother Rosie R. Contreras, Madera, her daughter Mikayla Barajas, Madera, her brother Victor F. Contreras and his wife Yolanda, Dinuba, her sister Olga P. Patrick and her husband Zack, Chowchilla, and her sister Sophia F. Muniz and her husband Ralph, Ramona, California.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 4, 2020 from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Jay Chapel, Madera, CA

Private Rosary and Mass will be held.  DUE TO THE RESTRICTIONS IN PLACE BY LOCAL AUTHORITIES, ALL GATHERINGS ARE TO BE NO MORE THAN 10 PERSONS IN TOTAL. PLEASE BE ADVISED, LOCAL CEMETERIES ARE ALSO STRICTLY ENFORCING THIS RULE.
