Mrs Ilda Garcia

Ilda Garcia, 84, of Fresno passed away on Friday July 10, 2020 after a brief illness at St. Agnes Medical Center. Ilda was born in The Azores on the Island of Faial and later immigrated to the United States and settled in Fresno, California in 1974. A homemaker she was married to Manuel F. Garcia for 55 years at the time of her passing. She was a member of St. Mary Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church.

Ilda is preceded in death by her parents Manuel and Evangelina Camara, by her sisters, Clara Goulart and Maria Medeiros, and by her brothers Armando Camara and Jose Camara.

Ilda is survived by her husband Manuel Garcia of Fresno, California, by a son Joe Garcia of Yuba City, California and by her devoted niece Lisa Goulart and her husband John of Chowchilla, Ca. and nephews Manuel Fernando Cabral and his wife Soazhina of Faial, Azores, Manuel Medeiros and his wife Elizabeth of Caruthers, Ca, Melvin Medeiros and his wife Kelley of Laton, Ca. and well as other great nephews and nieces. Also surviving sisters –in-law Maria Santos and her husband Victor of Stoughton, MA, Olive Garcia of Stoughton, MA and brother-in-law David Garcia and his wife Alice of Stoughton, MA., as well as other nephews and nieces

CHANGE OF SERVICES.  AS A RESULT OF NEW RULES ISSUED BY  GOVERNOR NEWSOM IMPACTING FUNERALS,  THE DIOCESE OF FRESNO HAS CANCELLED ALL CHURCH SERVICES.  AS A RESULT THE FUNERAL MASS HAS BEEN CANCELLED.  A PRIVATE FAMILY GRAVESIDE SERVICE WILL BE HELD.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 15, 2020 from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at Jay Chapel, Madera, CA
