Anselmo Valencia, “Chemo”, 42, was reunited with his Father Jose Maria Valencia and Brother, Eustreberto Valencia. Chemo passed away on Sunday May 17, 2020, in Madera. Chemo was born November 2, 1977 in Mexico.

Chemo was a loving husband to his wife Beatriz, a caring father to his son Brian and a devoted son to his Mami Chuy.

Chemo was an amazing selfless person, a man with an adventurous heart.. he loved the beach, water sports,hiking, concerts, he loved to travel with his family. He always made sure everyone was taken care of, he was a true definition of a provider. Not only for his immediate family but for everyone around him.

Chemo also dedicated 21 years as a Correctional Officer and was no stranger to pulling doubles, hardworking, would definitely be an understatement. Chemo, is commonly referred to as a “top-notch” Officer.

Chemo was proceeded by his Father José Maria, his brother Eustreberto Valencia.

Chemo is survived by his wife of 14 years Beatriz Adriana Valencia, his son Brian Anthony Valencia, his siblings José Valencia, wife Carmen Velasquez. Alfredo and Emerita Valencia, Ramiro, wife Sonia Valencia, Fernando, wife Irene Valencia, Enedina Valencia of Madera. Pedro, wife Patricia Valencia, Maria Valencia, and Inez, husband, Hector Zavala of Los Angeles.
Many nieces and nephews that held an amazing place in his heart. Chemo loved them all genuinely.

The family would like to make special mention and thanks to all CCWF, CCPOA staff and all family members and friends who have been supportive during these difficult times. Continued prayers are appreciated and although not everyone is able to be present due to the present pandemic, we feel your presence through your continued prayers.

Visitation will be held on May 25, 2020, from 2 pm to 8pm at Jay Chapel.

Private rosary and mass will be held.

DUE TO THE RESTRICTIONS IN PLACE BY LOCAL AUTHORITIES, ALL GATHERINGS ARE TO BE NO MORE THAN 10 PERSONS IN TOTAL. PLEASE BE ADVISED, LOCAL CEMETERIES ARE ALSO STRICTLY ENFORCING THIS RULE.
