Bill Harris

April 15, 1950 ~ July 11, 2018 (age 68) 68 Years Old

Tribute

William “Bill” Harris, age 68 of Fresno, California passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at his home. Bill was born in Lemoore, California the only child born to William Harris and Marjorie Phipps Harris. Bill attended local schools graduating from Lemoore High School with the Class of 1968, he later went on to attend CSU Fresno where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree. While an undergraduate Bill was an active of member of Alpha Gramma Rho Fraternity (AGR) social fraternity.

Bill was a real people person, he enjoyed meeting people and engaging them in conversation. Perhaps that characteristic was developed in him by growing up in the small town of Lemoore and working in the town’s only funeral home that was owned by his Uncle, “Buzz” Phipps. Bill never knew a stranger, and was good at maintaining friendships. That trait was the reason for his great success in all his endeavors over the years in sales. Immediately following his graduation from college he was employed by the Carnation Company in sales, and later in Agricultural Land Sales for Pearson Real Estate in the San Joaquin Valley, and most recently with Ag Water Chemical in Site Management and Sales.

In Bill’s free time he enjoyed memberships in the Elks Lodge, Ducks Unlimited, The St. Peter’s Serbian Orthodox Church Men’s Club in Fresno and spending time on his boat at Shaver Lake. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church where he attended Mass regularly.

In addition to his parents and aunt and uncle Bill was preceded in death by his father-in-law Bruno Lometti.

Bill is survived by his wife of 25 years Neila. He is the father of John and Emily, twin daughters Anna and Becca and the step-father of Keiha Silvani and Sara Michaelian. He is the son-in-law of Rose Lometti, and brother-in-law to David Lometti and Bruno Lometti. Bill is the grandfather of Adam and Step-grandfather to Lila and Ruby and the friend to many.
