Virginia May Rose, age 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Virginia was born on November 16, 1936 in Higdon, Arkansas to Glover (Frank) and Beulah Bradford. When Virginia was an infant, they moved from Arkansas to Madera. Virginia was raised in Madera, attended and graduated from Madera schools, married her sweetheart John Rose and raised their children here in Madera. She was a Court Reporter for over 20 years, and enjoyed her work very much. After retirement, Virginia spent her time researching family trees and vacationing in their fifth wheel, with family and friends.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents Glover (Frank) and Beulah Bradford, and two brothers Herbert Bradford and Gary Meeks.

Virginia is survived by her loving husband of 65 years John Rose of Madera, her three children John and his wife Kathleen Rose of Arizona, Annette and her husband Delbert Morris of Fresno, and Donald and his wife Adrianne of Arkansas, her four grandchildren Shaun Rose of Arizona, Neil and his wife Carissa Morris of Colorado, Lisa and her husband Will McCarty of Clovis, and Ashleigh and her husband Pablo Bravo of Ohio, her six great grandchildren Catherine Morris, Cassandra Morris, Emily Morris and Heather Morris all of Colorado, Ayianna McCarty of Clovis, and Liam McCarty of Clovis, as well as her one great-great-granddaughter Serenity Morris of Colorado. Virginia also leaves behind her four siblings Frank and his wife Jetti Bradford of Madera, David and his wife Lena Bradford of Madera, Geneva and her husband Tony Bennett of Madera, and Charles Meeks of Madera, Sister-in-law Mary Ellen Ackerman of North Carolina, two brother-in-laws Henry Rose of Florida and Tom Haworth of Maryland, six nieces and nephews Rodney Bradford of Madera, Debra and her husband David Nash of Madera, Marc and his wife Pelita Bradford of Fresno, Suzanne Bradford of Fresno, Rick and Lisa Bennett of Madera, Danny Bennett of Idaho, and Brenda Meeks of Madera, and four great-nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2019 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Jay Chapel in Madera.

Graveside Service will be held on Friday, July 12, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Arbor Vitae Cemetery in Madera.
