Ms Viola Helga Witt

Viola Helga Witt of Madera, California passed away peacefully on April 13, 2019 at the age of 62. She was born in Halle/Saale, Germany on July 18, 1956.

Viola came to the United States at the age of 17 with only $20 in her pocket, following a US soldier she met and later married. She had a career in a laboratory for most of her adult life. The last 28 years she spent at Dellavalle Laboratory in Fresno as a Lab Technician and later as a Quality Control Analyst. She was always a hard worker and dedicated to her kids and granddaughter.

Viola was a big fan of the Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Vince Gill and most of all Dwayne the Rock Johnson. Viola also had a love for nature, mountains, lakes and the ocean. One dream of hers was to swim with the dolphins which she was able to fulfill in 2016.

She was preceded in death by her mother Helga Hirsch, step-father Ernst Seckinger, and her father Gerhard Witt.

She is survived by her children, daughter Amanda Simon and son Kenneth Russell of Madera, her brothers, Matthias Witt and Thomas Witt both of Germany, her sisters Ulrike Hearn of Louisiana and Michaela Wawrzyniak of Germany, and her beautiful granddaughter Janae Della of Madera, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Viola will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She had so many good friends from Stuttgart, Germany who loved her and always called her "Vivi".

A celebration of life will be held at Fourth Street Church of God in Madera, on Saturday June 8, 2019 at 12:30pm.
