VINCENT GONZALEZ JR. age 42, surrounded by loved ones peacefully passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017.
Vincent was born April 28, 1975 in Madera, CA and was raised in Chowchilla, CA. As a child he enjoyed playing baseball, building model cars, riding his bike, and occasionally instigating a fight amongst his siblings. He was a graduate of Chowchilla Union High School, Class of 1993.
Vincent was a hard worker and a talented welder. He learned his trade as a teenager working with his father at Almond Tree Hulling Company. He then moved on to Golden Valley Grape Juice & Wine where he loyally worked for 18 years. Most recently, he went back to his roots and joined the crew at The Hulling Company.
Vincent married the love of his life, Leticia Sepulveda, on June 23, 2000. They would later have five children, several dogs, a few birds, and a rabbit.
He was a devoted family man. He most enjoyed spending time with his wife and children. They spent a lot of time traveling to visit family both near and far. He was incredibly funny, always looking for ways to make those around him laugh. He was also very thoughtful. He always took the time to help those in need. He loved to sing and dance. He also enjoyed barbecuing, maintaining his yard, working on his truck, and spending time with his friends.
Vincent will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend to all.
Vincent is preceded in death by his parents Vincent Gonzalez Sr. and Rosemary J. Gonzalez; father-in-law Joaquin Sepulveda, and niece Leslie Gonzalez.
Vincent leaves behind his wife of 17 years, Leticia Sepulveda de Gonzalez and their five children, Angel, Matilde, Arianna, Celeste, and Vincent Gonzalez III, all of Madera. He is also survived by his siblings Jose Angel Gonzalez of Chowchilla, CA; Rosemary Gonzalez of Grass Valley, CA; Luis Manuel Gonzalez of Madera, CA; and Leticia (Lety) Gonzalez of Madera, CA. and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 from 2:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. with Recitation of the Rosary beginning at 7:00 P.M. at Jay Chapel in Madera. A mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at St. Joachim’s Catholic Church in Madera. Interment will follow at Arbor Vitae Cemetery in Madera.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family for the children's future education.
