Theresa Maria Guerrero

Theresa Maria Guerrero age 67, of Madera, California, passed away on October 29, 2019. She was born on March 5, 1952 in Madera to Victoria Sally Nevarez and Severiano Hernandez Nevarez, of Texas. She was a resident of Madera County her entire life. She was a seasonal farm laborer for much of her teen years and young adult life. Theresa married Ramon Naya Guerrero on March 15, 1976 and they raised a son and two daughters.

After earning her High School Diploma as an adult she was afforded the opportunity to find employment in what she loved the most, the culinary field. She was a cook in mulitple kitchens and worked in the catering industry until she medically retired. Although retired, she continued to enjoy being in her own kitchen. Preparing delicious meals for family and friends was one of her hobbies. She was an amazing cook and she made the most amazing tamales. No matter what time of year you could stop by her home and she always had tamales on hand. She formed many friendships with her tamales. She loved her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren. She warmed many hearts with her friendship and love. Her influence will remain in the lives of all who loved her, missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Ramon Naya Guerrero; her children Adrian Nevarez and his wife Kendra, Maricela Marie Guerrero, Veronica Herta and her husband Lawrence; brother Daniel Nevarez; sisters Barbara Lopez and her husband Guadalupe, Erlinda Nevarez, Mary Helen Sepulveda; nine grand and 1 great-grandchild.

A Life Celebration will be held on Thursday November 7, 2019 at 11:00AM at New Harvest Christian Fellowship, 518 Noble St. #114, Madera, CA.
