Shirley Ann Hollingsworth

Shirley Ann Hollingsworth passed into her eternal home November 6, 2023 at the age of 87. She was born Shirley Ann Crawford on February 19, 1936 in Sheridan, Oregon to Ira Jackson and Vivian Lucille Crawford. She was the eldest of seven children.

Shirley moved to Madera, California in 1957. She met the love of her life Earl Hollingsworth and they were married in 1958. There they created a beautiful life together. They were married until his passing in 1990.

Shirley loved family life. Raising their 3 children Ronald, Wanda, and Donna in a peaceful country setting. She taught them all she knew about their farm animals and livestock. She enjoyed cooking, canning fruits, sewing, quilting, crocheting and reading, but family get togethers were her favorite.

She is preceded in death by her husband Earl Hollingsworth, daughter Wanda Jasso, siblings, Jimmie, Bobbi, Jack, Billie Crawford, and Patricia Rystedt.

Shirley is survived by her sister; Mary Stinson of Martinsville, Indiana, son; Ronald Hollingsworth of Fresno, CA, daughter; Donna Hollingsworth (George Jr) of Chowchilla, CA, and son-in-law Alfredo Jasso of Fresno, CA), Six grandchildren; Christina DelaCruz, Mark Martinez, Gabriel Jasso (Heather), Monica Stevens (Jeremy), George Sandoval III, and Donna Sandoval.
Nine great grandchildren; Angel and Isaac Sanchez, Evelina, Alexis and Robert DelaCruz, Trystan and Elana Stevens, Maddox Sandoval Sabala and Serah Jasso.
Shirley’s family would like to thank the Chowchilla Skilled Nursing Facility staff and doctors for caring and loving our mother.

Shirley was loved by all and will be forever missed.
Memorial services will be held on Monday November 27, 2023 at 11:00 am at Jay Chapel, 1121 Roberts Ave. Madera, CA.
