Sharon Louise Hibdon

Sharon Louise Hibdon was called home to the Lord on November 7, 2021 at 11:54pm. She passed away peacefully with her children by her side at the age of 75. She was a native of Madera, Ca and was born April 16, 1946. Her parents were Cleta & Al Kline and was sister to Judy and Karen Kline. Sherry attended and graduated from Madera High School. 

Sherry worked in several capacities for the City of Madera, but her love was as a Reserve Police Officer at the City of Madera Police Department for many years where she retired in the 90’s. Years, later she continued to serve the community of Madera as a Court Supervisor for the Madera Superior Court, in Bass Lake, CA. She was a lifelong member of the Elks Lodge #2724 in Oakhurst, CA. 

Sherry is survived by her sister Karen Kline of Winchester, Kentucky, step-sisters Donna Grant of San Felipe, Baja CA,MX and Betty Lalla of Exeter, CA, son Leslie Cowan Jr. and his wife Robin of Madera, Ca, daughter Susan Williamson and her husband Daniel of Gilbert, AZ, Daughter Jodi Ann Rothfeld of Livingston, NJ and Daughter Jaime Hibdon and her partner Linda Romero of Madera, Ca. She leaves behind 13 grandchildren: Nicole Frazier, Tyler Cowan, Emily Lopez and husband Jose, Breauna McEwen and husband Michael, Abigail Price and husband Eric, Ali Cowan, Cameron Vaughn, Natalie Hibdon, Noe Garza Jr., Nathan Romero, Madelyn Rothfeld, Sophie Rothfeld and Brenden Gaines. She will watch over her 7 great-grandchildren Angelique, Andrew, Mia & Maya Lopez, Krew and Koen McEwen & Damian Vaughn.  Sherry was loved by numerous nieces and nephews and countless friends.

We will continue to remember our GG as the ornery, tough loving, and selfless grandmother, mother, auntie and friend we all knew. We will miss her warm hugs, sweet kisses and fun loving sense of humor. 

Graveside Services will be held at Arbor Vitae Cemetery at 1:00 pm, November 18, 2021

A Celebration of Life will follow the service from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at San Joaquin Winery, 21801 Avenue 16, Madera, CA

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that small donations be made towards the food for the Celebration of life/Luncheon/Repass through the following funds set up @ PayPal link: sherry_repass@yahoo.com, If you would like to donate in other ways please contact the family directly.  To keep this Covid safe, Sherry’s repass food will be catered by her favorite restaurants.
