Ruben Gonzales Trevino, age 82, a native of Booth Texas, and a resident of Madera since 1960 passed away on Monday, September 2, 2019 at Madera Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He was a retired Truck Driver for Julio Pistoresi Ranches. During the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Army.
Ruben was preceded in death by his parents Frank Trevino and Isabel Gonzales Trevino, by children, Elizabeth Tovar, Christina Stewart and Ruben Trevino Jr., by siblings, brothers; Frank, Alfred, and Tony, by sisters; Rosie, Armendina, Gloria and Dolores.
Ruben is survived by his wife of 51 years, Natividad Trevino of Madera, his children, sons; Fermin Montemayor and his wife Erlinda of Soledad, CA., Rudy Montemayor of Madera and Sam Trevino of Madera, his daughters; Rosemary Montemayor of Madera, Emilia Ramirez and her husband Carlos of Taft, CA. Diana Turner and her husband Bruce of Madera and Lucy Trevino of Fresno. He is the brother of Pete Herrera and his wife Teresa of Madera, Ray Trevino and his wife Juanita of Madera, Hermina Garcia and her husband Ambrosio, Beatrice Solis and Mary Trevino all of Madera. He is the beloved grandfather of 23 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
The Trevino family would like to express their appreciation to the nursing center and their staff and to Optimal Hospice and their staff for the compassionate care given to Ruben.
Visitation will be at Jay Chapel in Madera on Thursday, September 12, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM with the Recitation of the Rosary and Vigil service following at 7:00 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 13, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Madera, interment with Veteran Honor’s will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Madera.
