Rosiedell Williams

July 15, 1946 ~ April 30, 2018 (age 71) 71 Years Old

Tribute

Rosiedell Williams was born Rosiedell Fulsom in Phoenix, AZ to Carl Fulsom and Henry Olevia Carson on July 15, 1946. The family migrated to Bakersfield, CA and eventually settled in her favorite city San Francisco. Rosiedell attended John Swett middle school until the family relocated to Madera, CA, when Rosiedell was in the 10th grade. Rosiedell graduated from Madera High School in 1964. Rosiedell enrolled in the Fresno City College LVN Program in 1964 transferred and graduated with a B.S. in Nursing from Cal State Hayward in 1976.
Her career in Nursing lasted over 40 years when she eventually retired from the County of Santa Clara as a Public Health Nurse specializing in teen prenatal care.

During her lifetime she was involved with numerous organizations and earned continuing education certifications such as National Black Nurses Association, Sickle Cell Educator and Counselor, HAAAB(Healthy Alternatives for African American Babies) along with others.
Rosiedell was only 65 when she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and eventually led to her untimely passing at the age of 71.

Rosiedell was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Olevia, her sisters, Marcy Jennings of Los Angeles, Wynemia Hayes of Los Angeles, and her brothers, Carl Henry of Madera, and Forrest Fulsom of San Jose. Rosiedell leaves behind husband, Odell Williams, her children, son, Aaron B. Williams of Madera, daughter, Tanya M. Williams of Madera, and her grandson, King I. Benman-Williams. Surviving siblings are, Rita Mason of McKinnie, TX, Willie-Ed Hawkins of McKinnie, TX, Lena White of Phoenix, AZ, Joyce Pittman of Madera, CA, Randell Fulsom of Madera, CA, Patricia Sanders of Fontana, CA, Lowell Fulsom of Madera, CA, Samantha Fulsom of Gainesville, GA as well as long time dear friends and a whole host of extended family, friends, and acquaintances.

Memorial Services will be Saturday June 2, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Jay Chapel in Madera.
Inurnment was held at Arbor Vitae Cemetery in Madera.
Remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington DC, 30090-6011.
