Ronald Jay Rousey, 72, passed away at home with his children early on Thursday morning October 17, 2019. Ron was born in Madera on January 10, 1947. After a short time in Kerman as a child, Ron returned to become a lifelong resident of Madera, a town he loved. He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army 25th Infantry Div. Ron worked for Baltimore Aircoil of California for 36 years and retired as a Forman of the small parts division.
Ron was a kind, loving, compassionate person and father. Among many things, he enjoyed camping with his family, playing cards, bowling, working in his yard, watching the Raiders, and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was proceeded in death by his father Clifford Rousey, his mother Dixie V Rousey Lyons, and his brothers Elwood, Donald and Gary Rousey.
He leaves behind his brother Sterlin Rousey and his wife Retha; his two daughters, Tammie Rousey Crafton; Summer Rousey and her fiancée Bobby Britt; his two sons Ronnie Rousey and his wife Carrie; Clinton Rousey and his wife Jennifer; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; countless cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
A visitation will be on Thursday, October 24, 2019 from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Jay Chapel in Madera, CA
The Graveside services will be Friday, October 25, 2019 at 11:00 am in Arbor area of Arbor Vitae Cemetery, Madera, CA
