Roman Cabrera Garcia

Roman Cabrera Garcia was born to the late Paulino Garcia and Isabel Cabrera. He was raised by Acension and Jesus Martinez in Zacatecas Mexico with several of his uncles. Anyone of his uncles would tell you he guided them to the right path though he was the younger one. He was well respected, and family appreciated his advice because they knew he was genuine. He was quite but had great wisdom. He loved his dear wife of 55 years Elisa Garcia and all his siblings. He was family oriented and always put his family first. He had five children four sons and one daughter. He came to the United states in 1963 with the assistance of his Mama Patricia Garcia who helped him become a legal resident. He later pursued his citizenship along with his wife-
. He worked for Dibuduo’s farms for 16 years where he was able to buy his first home. After working for Dibuduo’s he later worked as a foreman in agriculture. Later in life when his children had grown and made lives for themselves, he took a risk and changed professions. He packed up and moved to Las Vegas where he worked and retired from Aladdin Casino. Besides being a hard-working family man Roman had great faith in God. He was known to encourage people. One thing he always said to people was “Echale Ganas”.

Roman is survived by his wife Elisa Garcia of 55 years. His Children Roman Jr his grandchildren Alexa, Desirae, Isabel, Elisa, Roman, and greatgrandchildren Emilia, Liliana, Avah, Vincent, His daughter Nora Medina and her husband Ed Medina grandchildren Nathan, Monique, Gabriela, Joshua, Isaiah, Greatgrandchildren Leila, Janae, Josh Jr., His son Rene Garcia, Grandchildren Jordan, Amaya, greatgrandchildren Jordan Jr., His son Rigoberto and his wife Tizziana, Grandchildren Briana, Mathew, Naomi, Rigoberto Jr, Mia, Reyna, Ariana, Elisa Love, Greatgrandchildren Elijah. His son Reynaldo and wife Jessica, grandchildren John, Destiny, Reynaldo II, Ricky, great grandchildren Aubry, X’avier, Reynaldo III. Roman’s siblings Manuel Garcia, Paulino Garcia, Rosemary Mercado, Lupe Ibarra, Virginia Barriga, Ester Torres, Henry Garcia

Rosary & Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joachim Catholic Church on Friday, February 5, 2021, Rosary at 10:30 am and Mass at 11:00 am, Madera, CA
