Roger Dean Lyon
Roger was born on December 23, 1936 to Roy Ben Lyon and Helen Fox who preceded him in death. He left us at daybreak on July 11, 2022 to be with his soul mate Annie Sue, whom he lost just five months ago. Roger leaves behind four children, Cheryl (Robert), Roger II, Sandy and Belinda (Al). His sisters, Klina (Phil) Oberti and Jo Hastings.
Our Poppy leaves behind six grandkids, Louie, Danny, Tyler, Rhyen, Melissa and Amy. He also leaves behind ten great grandkids, and five great-great grandkids who he loved very much.
Roger had his own cabinet shop until he retired over six years ago. It was much more than that, it was a place for friends to stop by and BS and there was plenty of that. He shared his skills with many; his craftsmanship was outstanding and amazing when he finished a piece.
His real enjoyment was hunting, fishing, camping and shooting his firearms with his family and friends.
Our Poppy will be greatly missed by us all, so we say goodbye for now and with a final “Raise Hell” as it should be, until we meet again.
Graveside service will be held on July 26, 2022 at 11:00 am at Arbor Vitae Cemetery, a Celebration of Life to follow at 12:00 pm at the Elks Lodge.
