Robert Bailey Pierce

Bobby Pierce, age 89, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 30, 2019 in Madera, California. Bobby was born on July 22, 1930 in Fresno, California to Judge and Alma Pierce. Bobby was raised in the Firebaugh area, and attended local schools. Bobby loved to go fishing, especially later in life when he was able to take his grandchildren creek fishing up in the Sierra’s. After marrying his sweetheart Erlene, he began his calling as a Pastor and was known by many as Brother Bobby. Bobby Pastored at many churches throughout his life, including Kerman Free Will Baptist Church, Fresno Free Will Baptist Church, Stockton Free Will Baptist Church, and Chowchilla Free Will Baptist Church.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents Judge and Alma Pierce, and his daughter Bobbie Gail Pierce.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Erlene Pierce of Chowchilla, son Michael Ray Pierce of Colorado, daughter Billie Ruth and her husband Michael James Hardcastle of Fresno, and brother Billy and his wife Mary Piece of Chowchilla. Bobby is also survived by his five grandchildren Jordan Pierce of Colorado, Riley Pierce of Colorado, Nathan Pierce of Colorado, Devin Pierce of Colorado, and Benjamin Felt of Chowchilla, and one great-granddaughter Hannah McKenzie of Texas.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 7, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Jay Chapel in Madera.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Chowchilla Free Will Baptist Church in Chowchilla. Interment immediately following at Arbor Vitae Cemetery in Madera.
