Richard "Ricky" Neil Rodriguez, age 54 a native of Madera passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2018. Ricky was born on November 6, 1963 in Madera. He worked as a care provider for many years.
Ricky always had a passion for helping others, and making people laugh. Ricky loved the great outdoors, being adventurous, cooking, which he was famous for his Salsa’s. He enjoyed camping with his family and loved watching sports especially Cowboys football, and Warrior's basketball.
Although he had no children of his own he helped raise his nieces and nephews, and loved his cats, Kitty Tom and Kitty Boots. His personality and his goofy humor left a huge impact on everyone who knew him, he was a true uncle not only to family but everyone knew him as "Uncle Ricky".
Ricky is preceded in death by his parents Ignacio Rodriguez and Sarah Osuna, as well as his sisters Esther Rodriguez, and Esther Vega.
He is survived by his four sisters, Frances and her husband Albert Bustos of Madera, Cynthia Ramirez of San Jose, Carmen and her husband Leonard Perez of Madera, and Kathy Rodriguez of Madera, his two brothers, Guillermo Rodriguez of Madera, Edward and his wife Patricia Rodriguez of Madera, as well as his brother-in-law Richard Vega. Ricky also leaves behind sixteen nieces and nephews, twenty four great nieces and nephews and three great-great-nieces and nephew.
An Evening Service will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Valley West Christian Center, 101 West Adell Street, Madera, Ca 93638.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018, at 10:00 A.M. at Arbor Vitae Cemetery.
