Mr. Richard J. Aguilar

Our heavenly father opened the gates to heaven to welcome Richard J. Aguilar home on January 14, 2021.

Richard was born on February 25, 1947 in Madera Ca. Richard was raised by his grandmother Virginia Aguilar, who he dearly adored with all his heart. Richard attended Madera High School, enlisted in the United States Army where he proudly served and fought in the Vietnam War. After returning from the war, Richard met the love of his life Helen Martinez Aguilar; they both resided in Madera and raised two daughters. Richard was a member of the St. Joachim Catholic Church and a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Richard loved God and his family immensely. Richard is survived by his wife Helen, daughters Jennifer Guillen & husband David Medina and daughter Kristina Corona, Madera, CA. He is a proud grandfather to Paul Guillen Jr., Joseph Guillen, Alexander Corona, Joshua Sarabia and Alyssa Partida. Richard was blessed with bonus grandchildren Amandah Guillen, and Jenice Benavidez. The jewels to his crown is Amarah, Alenice, Paul III, Alexander and Abraham. Richard is a proud Godfather to Giselle Bueno of Merced, Ca and Godfather to Ricky Pimentel of Kerman, CA. Richard is survived by many in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Richard worked as an auto parts salesman for over 35 years. His years of service took place at Frank’s Auto Parts, Napa Auto Parts, Indy’s Auto Parts, and George’s Auto Supply. Richard is well-known for his expertise in knowing all about auto parts. Richard made sure customers, friends or family member’s needs were fully met. Richard was a loving and giving person. To him, it never mattered who you were, without hesitation, he would lend a helping hand. Richard is well-known for his sense of humor and his famous nicknames he gave his children and grandchildren. Richard enjoyed spending quality time with his great-grandchildren.

Richard loved to watch football and boxing. He was an avid fan of his team San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens. His favorite college team was Notre Dame. Richard loved to bbq. He enjoyed eating his cookies and ice cream watching western and war movies. He was a big fan of the Jerry Springer show. Richard spent his retirement days alongside with his wife Helen. His favorite time was spending their days together playing casino machines at Table Mountain Casino.

Richard was preceded in death by his beloved pride and joy Abraham Adam Corona, his beloved mother/grandmother Virginia Aguilar, his beloved parents Rudolph and Eleanor Aguilar and his beloved Uncle/Godfather Joe Aguilar, his beloved aunts Jennie Villarreal and Lupe Aguilar, his beloved service companions Patrick and Muffy.

Richard’s spirit is strong. His love will truly live forever through his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
