Raul Arvizu Ybarra

August 13, 1927 ~ May 17, 2023 (age 95) 95 Years Old

Tribute

Raul A. Ybarra was born on August 13, 1927 in Gilbert, Arizona. He was one of 8 brothers all of who preceded him in death, Guadalupe, Edward, Alfred, Robert, Frank Soto, and Ruben Soto, Leonard Ybarra, and 1 sister Rita Ybarra.

From Arizona, the family moved to California where he met the love of his life Nacha Gloria and they were married at St. Joachim Catholic church on August 14, 1949. Raul started working on the Fred Russell Ranch as a tractor driver then moved on to Madera Cleaners in which he left to go to work for St. Joachim Catholic Church as a maintenance/custodian. He later became a bus driver for the school transporting students from Madera, Kerman and Fresno to San Joaquin Memorial His School and Queen of the Valley High School. He love driving the students to and from school. After many years, he was offered a job as a Millwright for Wicks Lumber Mill in Auberry, California where he eventually retired.

Raul was a member of St. Joachim Catholic Church for 85 years. He loved dancing and singing and was not shy about getting on stage and taking the microphone from any Mariachi Band or anyone else for that matter. He had a beautiful voice.

He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Nacha Ybarra, son Ernie, Clara Ybarra, daughter’s Stella Moosios (Ernie), Irene Adams (Doug), grandchildren, Aaron Ybarra, Adrian Ybarra (Christine), Juanita Sanchez (RC), Alaina Ybarra, Allison Weber (Brian), Christopher Moosios, Jeffrey Moosios (Laura), great grandchildren Adrian Jr, Joseph, Aaron, Alyvia, Amelya, Alijah Ybarra, Alyssa Carrillo, Elias Sanchez, London Rios, Harper and River Weber, Aryanna Alaniz, Mason and Raelynn Moosios.

A Visitation will be on Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 10:00-11:00 am with a Rosary at 11:00 am at Jay Chapel, Madera, California

Entombment will follow the Service at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Madera, California.
