Ramon H. Rodriguez was born on February 27, 1945 in Dr. Arroyo, Nuevo Leon in Mexico and lived in San Luis Potosi as a child and went to Heaven with Apa and Ama, Baltazar and Concepcion Rodriguez on Dec. 28, 2020.
Ramon was the Patriarch of the Rodriguez Family and will be greatly missed by all the family and friends. Ramon was known as “Dad” “Papa” “Buelo” “Papi-Mon” and “Primo Ramon” to so many.
In 1949, Ramon and his parents and brothers moved from San Luis Potosi to Harlingen, Texas. Harlingen, Texas was home for the Rodriguez brothers when they were young as many beautiful memories will always be remembered.
Ramon and his family worked across the states as migrant Farmworkers, Trabajadores del campo. Madera, California became home for the Rodriguez Family in 1964.
Ramon was a Farm Labor Contractor for 40 years. He was a member of the International Laborers Union #294 and worked in Construction.
Ramon enjoyed Fishing, Golfing, Planting fruit trees, and Traveling to Powell, Wyoming. In addition, Ramon enjoyed the occasional trips to the Casino.
He is preceded by his parents, Baltazar and Concepcion Rodriguez, his three sisters, Celia Rodriguez, Angelita Martinez, and Janie Rodriguez, grandson, Baby Armando Rodriguez, and niece, Baby Dolores Rodriguez and nephews Salvador Rodriguez and Baby Damien Rodriguez.
Ramon is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elvira Martinez Rodriguez of Madera. His children, Sylvia Rodriguez of Madera, Ramon Rodriguez, Jr. and his wife Emma of Madera, Baltazar Rodriguez and his wife Leticia of Powell, Wyoming, Raul Rodriguez and his wife Araceli of Madera, Blanca Bishop and her husband Jode of Madera. He is also survived by his siblings Anastacio Rodriguez, Francisco Rodriguez, Marcelino Rodriguez, Baltazar Rodriguez, Mario Rodriguez, and Manuel Rodriguez all of Madera. Ramon, “Buelo” is survived and loved by his 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. In addition, “Papi-Mon” is survived by many nephews and nieces.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, January 5 at 11:00 AM at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Madera. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
