Patricia "Patty" Baldwin

 
 


Patricia “Patty” Ann Baldwin, 91, of Fresno, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022 in the peaceful surroundings at the Nazareth House of Fresno where she was under the exceptional care of their compassionate staff and the Sisters.
 
Patty was born on March 12, 1931, in Pasadena, California to parents, LeRoy David and Theresa Alice Owen.  Patty was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Robert (Robin) Baldwin on October 14, 2014.
 
Patty is survived by her 4 sons, David (Birgit) of Hawaii, Robert (Patti) of Paso Robles, Peter (Lynn) of Fresno and Patrick (Melinda) of Chicago.  She is survived by sister, Nancy Ellen Moss of San Marino and many nieces and nephews who adored her.  Patty was affectionately known as “Mimi” to her cherished grandchildren, Lindsey Camarda and Jonathan Baldwin, Drake and Chas Baldwin, Connor and Luke Baldwin, and adopted granddaughter, Alexandra Franco.
 
Patty was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority at UC Berkeley where she obtained an Art History degree.  
 
Patty (Mimi) was well known in the stands and sidelines of all the youth sports played by her boys and grandchildren.  For 50 years, her personalized license plate "4 Boys" was seen throughout the Fresno area. 
 
Patty’s passions were gardening, painting, antiquing and her beloved dogs, and she always had two. She loved to paint and was a member of numerous painting groups.  Patty loved to read and travel, and her home was beautifully decorated for every season and holiday.  Patty was able to put all of these passions together to host beautiful gatherings for family and friends, which included opening up her English gardens to the Master Gardener tour.  Patty was a Master Gardener and an active member of the Fresno Garden Club for over 30 years.
 
Patty had many lifelong friendships that she nurtured into her 90s.  Patty donated her time to various Fresno charities and schools.  She and her husband Robin loved to cook for others and donated their French onion soup to many fundraisers.  
 
Patty’s profound positivity came from her unstoppable faith in God.  Patty (Mimi) will be dearly missed by her family and friends!  Patty was greeted in heaven by her loving husband who waited 8 years to the day, for another dance. 
 
Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 4, 2022 at St. Agnes Church located at 111 West Birch Street, Fresno, CA 93650.
