Nancy Lee Tate

Nancy Lee Tate, longtime resident of Raymond, California, passed away on Monday ,March 18, 2019 in a Madera Convalescent Hospital where she has resided for the last 3 years . Nancy was born in Easton, California to John and Mary Wiltz one of four children born to the couple. She attended schools in Easton graduating from Washington Union High School. She later met and married James Floyd Tate in 1951 and shared many happy years together until his passing in 2014. Cooking and Gardening were her passions.

In addition to Nancy’s parents she was preceded in death by a brother George Wiltz and a sister Betty Wiltz and her son-in-in law Edgar Hamilton and a daughter-in-law Janice Tate.
Nancy is survived by her daughter Diane Hamilton of Oakhurst and by her son James Floyd Tate Jr. of Miramonte, Ca. She is the sister of Joan Peelman of Indiana and was the beloved grandmother of Elizabeth Reeves, Scott Hamilton, Rebecca Dedekian, Daisy Demeusy, and great grandmother of Alex Dedekian, Samantha Dedekian, Nathan Dedekian, Justin Hamilton, Bailey Ellis, Peyton Hamilton, Morgan Reeves, and Inara Reeves. Nancy is the Great Great Grandmother of Kinslee Ellis and Kasidy Ellis.
Committal will be on Friday, March 22, 2019 at 3 PM at Arbor Vitae Cemetery in Madera where she will be laid to rest with her husband James Floyd Tate.
