Minnie Aguirre, age 82, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 11, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Minnie was born in Dallas, Texas on October 28, 1936 to Thomas and Grace Medellin. Minnie has been a resident of Madera for 78 years, and was involved with many organizations. Minnie was a member of St. Joachim Catholic Church where she was involved with Adoration, the Prayer Line Group, and Feeding the Homeless. Minnie was also involved with the Madera County Behavioral Health Services for 14 years, the Madera County Mosquito and Vector Control District for 12 years, and the Madera County Grand Jury. Minnie also worked for Oberti Olives for over 43 years as a production worker.
Minnie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 63 years Fernie Aguirre, and her granddaughter Allyce Aguirre.
Minnie is survived by her three children Tommy Aguirre of Madera, Rosalyn Coronado and her husband Robert of Morgan Hill, and Jesse Aguirre and his wife Karen of Fresno, her brother Thomas Medellin and his wife Eva of Salinas, her sister Maggie Mata of Las Vegas, her half-brother Mark Medellin and his wife Carrie of Visalia, and her half-sister Marian Medellin of Lancaster. Minnie also leaves behind her two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson whom she loved dearly.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a Vigil Service beginning at 7:00 PM at Jay Chapel in Madera. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Madera. Interment immediately following at Calvary Cemetery in Madera.
