Mike Krause

Michael (Mike) Krause, age 74, was born in Ceres, CA, the son of James and Mildred (Gardiner) Krause. A resident of Madera for 35 years, Mike passed away Tuesday, May 2nd, at St Agnes Medical Center after a brief illness, with his wife, Peggy and daughter, Heather by his side. He worked for Slakey Bros (in Modesto, Santa Rosa and Fresno) for 35 years as a sales supervisor. He loved camping with his wife and late fur baby Toby. He was a great cook and insisted that everyone “get out of the kitchen” when he was doing his thing. He loved spending time with his neighbors for his “Margarita Fridays” and was a loyal friend to many lifelong friends. Mike was a man of few words but if he knew you, he would talk your ear off with his many stories of his experiences.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, James Krause and his mother Mildred Krause. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Krause and daughter and son in law, Heather and Scotty Evans. He was a proud big brother to his sister, Cindy Hensley and brother in law Dallas Hensley, with nephew Aaron. He is also survived by brother Edward Krause and sister in law Yvonne, along with nephew Will, along with his youngest brother Daniel Krause. He is also survived by his current fur baby Lucy.

A celebration of life will take place at SPS at The Muni at Madera Municipal Golf Course June 4, 2023 11AM-4:00PM.
