Mrs Mary Emily Pinto

Mary Emily Gonzalez Pinto age 81 went home to be with the Lord on April 28, 2022. Mary was born in San Diego, CA to Jesus Gonzalez and Dorothy Belmontes on May 28, 1940.

In her early twenties, she met the love of her life, Jesse Salazar Pinto. She was lucky enough to marry her Best Friend and start a family. They were Blessed with eight children and they chose to raise their family in Madera where they purchased their first home!

Not only did she manage to raise her family but she was also a hard worker outside of the home. Mary worked full time for various employers including Oberti Olives and Madera Cleaners and Laundry where many friendships were created. She then decided to open a home daycare center and “Munchkinland Daycare” was born! Mary ran her business out of her home on Columbia Street in Madera for many years until she retired. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and traveling with her children and grandchildren. Mary attended St. Joachim Catholic Church when she was residing in Madera then began attending St. Columba Catholic Church more than 15 years ago, after moving to Chowchilla.

She is preceded in death by her Soulmate and Husband, Jesse Salazar Pinto, her daughters, Ernestina Gonzalez Pinto and Teresa Pinto Zaragoza as well as her parents and several siblings.

Mary is survived by her children, Mary Hernandez and her spouse Eraclio Hernandez, Rudy Pinto, Joe Pinto, Candyanita Pinto, Camille Pinto, Charlene Pinto, and Alexander Pinto Velasquez. She also leaves behind, seventeen grandchildren and thirty-three great grandchildren and two brothers, Richard Garcia and Roger Garcia.

Mary will be especially remembered for, her incredible strength to handle any situation, her deep deep love for her husband and family, and most of all her great Faith in God and The Virgen de Guadalupe.

Visitation will be on Wednesday May 11, 2022 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Jay Chapel in Madera with Recitation of the Rosary following at 6 p.m. at Jay Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 10 a.m. at St. Columba Catholic Church in Chowchilla, with interment following at Calvary Cemetery in Madera.
