Ms Cecilia Alvares Parks

Cecilia Alvares Parks passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Saint Agnes Medical Center in Fresno, California.

Born in February 1950, she was 70 years old and the daughter of William “Bill” and Velma Alvares.

A resident of Caruthers ,California, Cecilia was retired. She was a 1968 graduate of Caruthers Union High School and attended Long Beach State College in Long Beach, California. She worked more than 30 years as a Certified Medical Assistant. Prior to her retirement she returned to school to become a Certified Pharmaceutical Technician working for CVS Pharmacy.

Cecilia is preceded in death by husband Donald Parks; parents William “Bill” and Velma Alvares; Aunts Mary and Flora Alvares.

She is survived by siblings Toby Alvares and Diana Llewellyn; niece Amber Alvares; nephews Blake Alvares, Matthew and Scott Llewellyn.

Cecilia enjoyed sitting on her porch every morning, feeding the birds especially Humming Birds, while enjoying the morning fresh air and watching the day begin. She had a kind soul, loved people and animals alike.

She was a member of the SPRSI Portuguese society, volunteered in the community and
helped those in need.

Cecilia will truly be missed by all who knew her.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Jude Catholic Church, 208 W. Jefferson Ave.,
Easton, CA 93706, at 10 AM Monday, September 28, 2020.

Interment will follow at Washington Colony Cemetery, Easton, CA.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the American Heart Association or Saint Jude Catholic Church Building Fund.
