Mr. Chip Hopkins

Chip Hopkins, 57, of Madera, CA, went to be with His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on December 29th, 2018. He was born to Nita Hopkins and Pat Milton Hopkins on March 4th, 1961 in Bakersfield, CA.

He married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Sandra Kaye Hopkins on December 5th, 1981. Together, they had three children, Brandon Hopkins, Amanda Moore, and Tahnee Tipton. Chip was a member of Grace Community Church for over 20 years. He loved his church family and showed this love by leading Bible studies, cooking copious amounts of food, sharing wisdom and grace to those who were hurting, and speaking the truth to all that needed to hear it. Chip was generous and gave to missions, while also supporting Vince and Gretta Payne in their mission to Panama with many visits to show both love and support.

Chip leaves to cherish his memory: his wife of 37 years, Sandra, his son, Brandon and wife, Mari Jo, daughter Amanda and daughter Tahnee and her husband Derek; and son-in-law, Robert. Chip had 9 grandchildren, with one more on the way. 

He is also survived by his mother, Nita Bugni, his brother John Hopkins along with his wife Barbara, and his brother Frank Hopkins along with his wife Linda.
