Mario Ruiz Manriquez

Mario Ruiz Manriquez of Madera, California, passed on August 27, 2020 at the age of 65 holding the hand of beloved fiancé Susan Martinez.

He was born to parents Marcos Velez and Virginia Jacobo on October 26, 1954. Mario was loved and cherished by his grandparents, Guadalupe & Marcos Ruiz and raised by David & Genoveva Valenzuela.

Mario graduated from Madera High School in 1973. He went on to become a Maintenance Technician where he thrived for 39 years, retiring in 2019 from JBT Corp. In his spare time, he loved venturing outdoors and fixing up classic cars. He was known for his love, positivity and faith in Christ. Mario was an avid 49ers fan and always had one of those smiles that could light up a room. He will be greatly missed but will live on in our hearts.  

He is survived by his daughter Lissette Manriquez Velasquez, her husband Andrew and stepson Ritchie Lopez, his wife Micky and their three children Jaya, Marley and Mai’ana; stepmom Genoveva and step siblings: Eliseo, Marylou, Glenda, Danny, and Josie; and many wonderful long-time friends that were also family.

Mario loved to travel and explore. We kindly ask that in lieu of flowers, you save those earnings and go out to Celebrate Life in honor of him. Keep his spirit alive by connecting and sharing your dedicated adventure. Snap a picture and use the hashtag #InHonorOfMarioM

A Private Family Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 2:00 PM, and all are invited to watch the live feed through the link provided below. The link to access the live feed will be active after 1:55 pm on Wednesday, September 9, 2020.

A Public Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, from 5:15p.m. to 7:00 PM at Jay Chapel in Madera, Ca.
