Maria Amezola Guillen

On July 17, 2018, it is with great sadness the Guillen Family announces the passing of Maria Guillen Amezola. She was born on August 1, 1946 a native of Michoacán, Mexico who resided in Madera, California since 1970. Maria was a very active member of the St. Joachim Catholic parish in Madera. She enjoyed reaching out to people and spreading God’s word. She was a very loving and caring person who spent most of her time helping others, most importantly her immediate family as a devoted mother and wife. She worked at Madera Community hospital for 19 years and retired from there. She inspired many of her co-workers and was always a positive individual who made them feel like family.

Maria is preceded in death by her son Jose M Guillen Jr.

Maria is survived by her husband of 52 years Jose Maria Guillen Sr., her 5 children, 26 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.

Maria passed away letting her family know they were always the fabric of her existence.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018 from 2:00 PM- 8:00 PM with the Recitation of the Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM at Jay Chapel in Madera.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Madera.

Interment immediately following at Arbor Vitae Cemetery
