Marcia Lee Manes

Marcia Manes was born in Hollywood, CA on 4-8-1944. She went to be with her lord on Tuesday, May 31, 2022. While still a baby, the family moved to Ojai, CA and then to Santa Paula, CA where she attended local schools. While attending high school, she met and married Loren Manes. Over time the couple had six children. As the children got older, she went to work at a local fruit packing company. After a divorce, she moved to Ventura, CA where she became a bartender. After meeting the man she thought she would spend her life with, she had another child, but the relationship ended. In 1986, she moved first to Chowchilla and then to Madera finding jobs as a bartender. Working first at the Cotton Club in Chowchilla, then several years at Riley’s Tavern and then briefly at Frankie’s Bar before she retired.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Zanita Cole and Merton Snyder, brother, Leslie Snyder and two infant babies.

A special thank you to her daughter Julia, son Larry, and niece Lynn (Clint) Davis, for all the transportation and medical care they provided.

A Celebration of Life will be set at a later date.
