Lydia Garcia Ochoa-Ayon

Lydia Ochoa-Ayon, 85 years old, passed away 06/08/2021 peacefully in her home. Born and raised in Blythe, California, she was the daughter of Guillermo and Ella Galvan. She eventually moved to Madera in 1975 where she met the love of her life, her husband of 27 years, Alfred Ayon, who preceded her in death.

Lydia worked many different jobs in her lifetime but her most fulfilling job was raising her family and she took great pride in teaching those same values to her children that family always came first.

She is survived by 6 sons and daughters, Pete and Yasmin Espinoza of Palm Springs, Carlos and Gina Ochoa of Los Angeles, Minnie and Jimmie Chapa of Modesto, Roy Ochoa, Jr, Tina Ochoa of Madera, and Debbie Ochoa of Madera who loved and cared for her until her final days. She had a son and daughter who preceded her in death, Raymond Ochoa, and Gloria Ochoa. Lydia was a grandmother to 19 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joachim’s Catholic, Madera, CA on June 22, 2021 at 9:00 am followed by aCommital service at Calvary Cemetery, Madera, CA.
