Lorrie Ann Centeno

Lorrie Ann Centeno, 56, entered eternal rest on September 8, 2022, at home surrounded by her family who she loved very much. A beloved wife, mother, auntie, and grandma to be, was greeted in Heaven after her 5th battle with breast cancer. She was truly a miracle and inspiration to many families and friends.

Lorrie was born on May 20, 1966 in Fresno, California. Growing up in Madera Ranchos, she was a country girl riding horses and caring for her families various livestock. She became a city girl by high school graduation and went to Fresno City College where she met her husband Arnold in accounting class, not knowing that they would one day marry and start their own accounting business.

Lorrie was co-owner of ALC Associates Inc., a financial services firm in Fresno for the last twenty-eight years. She loved hiking, long walks on the beach with her husband, and sharing faith. She accomplished much in this life, but the greatest thing she will be remembered for is her faith in God. Even through the long battle with cancer, she had an unwavering faith, which she shared and inspired so many to continue in their walk with God, especially young women fighting breast cancer.

Lorrie is survived by her husband of thirty-six years, Arnold Centeno; father Jay Walkingstick, son Joshua Centeno and wife Jerica, daughter Sommer Nicole Phillips and husband Robert, brother Darryl Walkingstick, sister Sheila Schmall and husband Dave, nephew, Michael, nieces Heather, Sierra, and Hanna.

A celebration of her life will be held at Jay Chapel, 1121 Roberts Ave., Madera, CA on September 15, 2022 at 11:00 AM with a viewing to begin at 9:30 AM. Graveside Committal service will follow the service at Arbor Vitae Cemetery.
