Lois M. Cook Blackburn, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away November 9, 2018, in Madera, CA at the age 95. She was born October 20, 1923 in Oklahoma the daughter of Ralph R. and Sarah A. Bruce Hulbert. Lois married Robert L. Blackburn on December 12, 1993.
What people will always remember Lois for was her Great Smile! And, how it made you feel when you saw her. She worked as an LVN/Psych Tech retiring after 30 years. She was also a member of the Church of Christ.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Enloe Hooper Cook, two brothers, Ralph and Charles Hulbert; and two sisters, Ruth Sovereign and Joann Hunt.
She is survived by her husband Robert Blackburn; three daughters, Betty Hosier and Nickie Smith and her Husband Jerry L, all of Madera and Retha Fanelli and her husband Steven, of Meridian, ID, three grandchildren, Allen Finley, Marcia Polese, Richard Smith, and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on: Tuesday from 9:00 to 10:00 AM prior to the services at Jay Chapel, Madera, CA
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2018, 10:00 AM at Jay Chapel Funeral Home in Madera, CA
Interment will follow the services in Arbor Vitae Cemetery, Madera, CA
