Lisa Val McDonald

Lisa Val McDonald was born on February 14, 1955 to Percy and Flora McDonald in Madera, California. She passed away in an automobile accident on August 28, 2021 in Coarsegold, California.

She was raised in Madera by her father Percy McDonald a Mono Indian and her mother Flora Williams a Chukchansi Indian. She loved laughing and giggling around in her little “baby” voice. Everywhere she went she was always smiling around with her sunglasses on. Not only was she lovely outside but also from the inside drawing others to her warm and loving spirit. Family time was always first for her. She had the deepest understanding for people, she had a big heart. She will be missed.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Patrick Franklin Hammond SR., her sisters Valerie Martinez and Judith McDonald, and her brothers Tom McDonald and Alvin McDonald.

Lisa is survived by her children Melissa, Patrick and Rachel Hammond; her sisters Diana Dick and Priscilla McDonald; her brothers Tex McDonald and Mike McDonald. She is the beloved grandmother of Serenity, Esperanza, Genesis and Marcus Hammond; Dominic Chavira and wife Liliana; Percy and Benjamin Hammond; Joseph Sanchez, Arthur Sanchez and wife Kassondra; Michelle Sanchez and husband Nicholas; Danielle, Mia and Moses Hernandez. She was loved by her great grandchildren Jace, Logan and Eden Nunes; Aurora Chavira and Athena Sanchez. She also lives on in the hearts of many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 3-7pm at Jay’s Chapel, 1121 Roberts Avenue, Madera, CA 93637.

Funeral Services will follow on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 10am at North Fork Cemetery 32823 Road 228, North Fork, CA 93643.
