Linda Marie Shaw

Linda Marie Shaw, 72, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2021. She was born to Alex and Shirley Whittington Johnson July 19, 1949 in Louisiana. She was a resident of Madera and a former resident of Revere, Massachusetts.

Linda was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving from 1968-1975 when she was honorably discharged. She received her Bachelor’s from San Diego State University 1977, her Masters in Educational Administration form the University of Utah in 1984 and the Doctoral Program in Leadership and Learning in 2012. Linda served as the Chief Executive Officer of the The Revere Housing Authority in Revere, Mass. from 2006-2015. She them moved to Madera and became the Chief Executive Officer for the Madera Housing Authority from 2015 until her retirement in 2019. She was a member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in Chowchilla, CA.

Linda is preceded by her parents and her brother Donald Johnson.

Linda is survived by her husband of 25 years Willie Shaw of Madera, CA, her son Richard G. Dupont, Jr and his wife Lucia of Concord, CA, Her two sisters, Debra Johnson of Austin, TX and Alice “Cookie” Johnson of Madera, CA. Linda will be mourned by her grandchildren, Jacid, Joshua and Mia Dupont.

Visitation will begin Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 4:00pm and conclude at 7:00 pm at Jay Chapel.

The Funeral Service will begin Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Galilee Missionary Baptist Church located at 22491 Fairmead Blvd., Chowchilla, CA 93610
