Mrs Linda Cruz Perez

Linda Cruz Perez, 66, a lifelong resident of Madera passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 6, 2021. Linda was born to Anastacio and Anita Alvarez Cruz and grew up in Madera where she received her education. Linda met and married Cristobal “Cris” Perez her husband of 45 years and assisted him in his law practice here in Madera in addition to being a homemaker. Linda was an excellent soccer and softball player and alongside Cris played in numerous leagues for over 20 years. In her leisure time, Linda enjoyed the slot machines at Chukchansi and was a die hard 49’s fan.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by brothers, Perry Macugay, Alex Macugay, Felix Macugay, Raymond Cruz and Freddy Cruz. She is survived by husband “Cris”, her sons, Angelo Macugay of Madera, Vincent Macugay of San Jose, and Cristobal Perez Jr. of Madera. She is the sister of Frances Cruz Ash and her husband Steve Ash of Fresno and the grandmother of numerous grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Friday, October 22, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Jay Chapel with a Celebration of Her Life Service at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel.

Private Family interment will be in the Mausoleum of Arbor Vitae Cemetery.

Remembrances may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
