Ladonna Elizabeth Taylor

Ladonna E. Taylor, age 94, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 in Madera. Ladonna was born on September 3, 1925 in Acme, Texas to Charles and Alice Taylor. Ladonna moved to Madera in 1980, and has lived here ever since. After graduating high school, Ladonna began working for Pacific Bell Phone Company as an operator. Ladonna moved up within the company the longer she worked there, and upon her retirement, she was the Supervisor in Madera. Ladonna never married or had children of her own; however, she was always there for anyone and helped raise many of her nieces and nephews. Ladonna was a member of the Business Professional Women’s Association, she loved to travel the world whenever she could, and she enjoyed reading westerns and romance novels, had a passion for working in her yard, and loved listening to Elvis Presley.

Ladonna was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Jerry McCullough and her two brothers Charles Taylor and Kenneth Taylor.

Ladonna is survived by her nieces: Sheila and her husband Michael Soliz of Madera, Mary A Roberts of Visalia, and Debbie and her husband Ric Plummer of Castro Valley, as well as her nephews: Jeff and his wife Suzanne Butler of Madera, Ron McCullough of Petaluma, Michael and his wife Beth McCullough of Madera, Charles M. and his wife Linda Taylor of Grass Valley, Steven G. and his wife Bonnie Taylor of Surprise, AZ, and Jason M. Soliz of Madera. Ladonna also leaves behind her sister Nancy B., Payne of Madera, along with other extended family and friends.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Arbor Vitae Cemetery in Madera.
