August 20, 1953 ~ May 29, 2021 (age 67) 67 Years Old

Tribute

With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to Kenneth Allen Morgan, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. On Saturday May 28, 2021, Ken passed peacefully with his family in attendance, after a battle with cancer.

Ken was born August 20, 1953 to Roy and Wanda Morgan. He is survived by his wife Jeannie, daughter Chelsea, son Evan (wife Shanda), granddaughters Ava, Elsie, and Vivian, sister Pattee Watson (husband Don), brother Doug, stepdaughter Elizabeth (husband Brian), and many relatives and dear friends.

Ken graduated from Madera High School with the class of ‘71. He made many friends and enjoyed playing football. He was an avid San Francisco Giants and 49ers fan.

Ken was a hardworking 3rd generation co-owner of the family business, Morgan’s Garage. He loved being a part of the local community, and made many friends over the years with his big laugh and even bigger heart. He could regularly be seen at the shop passing out sodas to families, and chatting with customers and passers-by.

Those who knew him are well aware; Ken knew no stranger, loved life, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He had a love for Jesus Christ, and shared his faith with many in his last months on earth.

Trailering up to Beasore Meadows with John and Margaret Ogle and Tim and Janet DaSilva was such a joy for Ken. He always woke early to chase after that special deer, and the perfect place to mount it before Jeannie found out. His out-of-state travels with dear friends filled his heart with life, and provided all with wonderful stories, memories, and laughs for many years to come.

The family would like to thank the many friends that gave of themselves to take Ken to chemo and radiation treatments during his battle. Brent Peart, Danny Poore, Loren Freeman, Tim DaSilva and Jeff Bottorff we are so grateful for the support you provided.

In memory of Ken, his family invites you to give generously to the American Cancer Society, 5420 California Avenue, Bakersfield, CA  93309 or a charity of your choice. You may also lend a hand to a friend in need or reach out to someone who would benefit from a reminder that they are loved.

Celebration of life will be held at Fourth Street Church of God, on July 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., Madera, CA
