Kathryn Rose Sciacqua

Kathryn “Katie” Sciacqua passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019 at the age of 98. Katie was born in Springfield, Ohio to John and Catherine Hart on March 21, 1921. She was a homemaker and a resident of Madera for 70 years. Katie was a member of the Alter and Rosary Society at St. Joachim Catholic Church. She was a charter member of the Fresno Organizers, Sew Unique, also in Fresno and the Heart of California Quilters Guild in Madera.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank J. Sciacqua in 1997. She is survived by her two children, Cheryl F. Burns and her husband Everett of Madera and Duane Sciacqua and his wife Becky of Nashville, TN. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Ingrid Henderson and her husband Bob, Jeffrey Burns, Jared Burns, Heather Matik and her husband Darren and Bryan Burns and his wife Christina,thirteen great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.

Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Friday, July 5, 2019 at 1:00 PM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 PM at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Madera.
