Kathleen Dianne Lechuga

Kathleen Dianne (Sparks) Lechuga, better known as Katy, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at the age of 69. Katy was born to William and Barbara Sparks in Dos Palos, California, where she attended school, graduating with the Class of 1967. She went on to attend Coalinga College, now known as West Hills Community College, in Coalinga, where she earned her Associate of Arts Degree. Looking for life in a larger city, she moved to Los Angeles where she worked for Xerox. She later married and was the proud mother of two children, Rebecca and Ryan. She returned to the central valley, where she was a resident of Madera and most recently worked for Washington Elementary School as a Health Aide. Katy touched the lives of many and was a good friend to all that met her.

Katy was preceded in death by her father, Coach Bill Sparks. She is survived by her mother, Barbara Sparks of Madera, her children Rebecca Orlando of Clovis, and Ryan (Franz) Lechuga of Madera. She is the sister of Susan Sparks (Ron Brockman) of Brentwood, Mike (Renee) Sparks of Chowchilla. She is the beloved grandmother of Devonte, Chrystian, Ayden and Garret Orlando and Mila Lechuga all of Madera.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the many acts of kindness that have been shown to them at this difficult time.

Private interment will be at Arbor Vitae Cemetery in Madera.

Remembrances, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
