Tribute

Juana Villanueva Saucedo, a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away at the age of 73, on Monday, August 3, 2020.  Juana was born in Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Alejandro Villanueva and Teresa Rodrigues. She had two brothers and four sisters. Juana immigrated to the US at a young age and made her life in Madera CA for 55 years. Her life was dedicated to her husband and family. Juana graciously and lovingly served the elderly and their families as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant at Madera Convalescent Hospital for 35 years.

Juana had an unwavering faith in God, our Lady of Guadalupe and was a devout catholic. Often conversations included the phrase, “Primeramente Dios”. She enjoyed spending time with her family whether it be at home, shopping, or taking out of town excursions.  She took pleasure in watching San Francisco Giants baseball, gardening, and slipping off to the casinos with her favorite aunt. Juana was a woman of great strength and pure selflessness.  She dedicated her life putting others before herself, especially her husband, her children and her grandchildren. There are no words to truly summarize the compassionate, selfless person that she was.

She is survived by her sister Felicia, her husband of 59 years, Ernesto Saucedo and their children, Maria Luisa Rodriguez and her husband Jose Rodriguez, Joe Saucedo and his wife, Linda Saucedo, Vincent Saucedo, Albert Saucedo, David Saucedo and his wife Christina Saucedo, Carmen Saucedo, and Carolina Ortega and her husband Peter Ortega, her 11 grandchildren, Andrew Manley, Celina Saucedo, Nathan Bell, Nicholas Saucedo, Jocelyn Saucedo, Tyra Lutz, Katarina Saucedo, Dayton Saucedo, Chasen Farris, Isabella Saucedo, and Emma Saucedo and her 3 great-grandchildren, Layla Bell, Jaxton Bell and Anna Bell.  She is greatly loved and truly will be missed.

“We cannot see her, but she is with us. A Mother like ours is more than a memory, she is a living presence.”
