Joy Neal

Tribute

Joy Neal, passed away April 28, 2022 at the age of 92. She spent her early years in Madera, Coarsegold, and Coalinga. She married Bob Neal, and they made Coalinga their home for about 30 years, from 1951 to 1982. They raised 3 girls in Coalinga, Mary Beth, Gayle, and Barbara. Joy worked as a nurse in Coalinga, Avenal, Atwater, and Turlock. She ended her career as a school nurse in Merced. She and Bob were active in the First Presbyterian Church in Coalinga and worked with the youth group for almost 10 years. Her final years were spent at the Windham in Fresno. No matter where Joy lived, she helped others, was kind to all, and enjoyed her family.
